Internship with Vivian Vo Photography

Vivian Vo is a photography studio that started in South Florida in 2019. The owner is Vivian Vo, a very energetic and positive entrepreneur. My internship experience with Vivian Vo was incredibly valuable. I worked closely with a Vivian to gain insight into the art of photography and how it is used in marketing. I learned the basics of photography, including composition, lighting, and camera settings, as well as how to apply these concepts to create effective marketing images. Additionally, I was exposed to the business side of photography and marketing, learning how to market photography services and understand the clients’ needs. Overall, I was able to gain a better understanding of how photography and marketing can be used together to create powerful visuals to help promote a business.

I have included a gallery of photos I assisted with during my Internship. I was able to learn the importance of creating a set, as well as assisting in behind the scenes with shoots. This included helping to set up props, costumes and sets, ensuring that the lighting and sound equipment are in place and functioning. Depending on the scope of the project, additional tasks may include helping to manage the cast or model, creating call sheets, schedules, model castings, and providing general support to the production staff. 

Barcelona Wedding is a destination wedding and events planner in Barcelona, Spain. Some of my important take aways from my time with Sonia includes: time management, communication, event design, importance of establishing relationships, and problem solving.

I have included a gallery of projects I created during my internship with Barcelona Wedding. My experience with this remote internship was a great way to gain valuable experience in the field of event planning.  Since my internship with Barcelona Wedding was a remote internship position in marketing management, I had to navigate the complexity of a seven hour time difference. Through my internship, I was responsible for running and creating content for the Instagram and Pinterest page. Content created included: reels, story posts, as well as caption creation. This opportunity has made me grow as a person. My internship was a beneficial and unique experience. I learned the importance of communication in a timely manner, being flexible, set and clear deadlines, establishing a routine, and knowledge with event planning.
